My Top 3 Home-Made Sausage Recipes

How would you like to have a big side of maltodextrin with your breakfast???
What! Ew, No!
Me neither...
What even is maltodextrin?
It's a plant based, white, powder related to the corn syrup solids, but with a lower sugar content.
It high on the glycemic index and can mess with your blood sugar levels.
Why is it in most store bought sausages and mixes?
It is used as a thickener, a filler, a preservative, and a sweetener.
In other words... is it really necessary?
I don't think so.
It's so easy to mix up your own sausage seasonings, and you don't have to do it in large batches like large processors do.
I have included my three favorite sausage mix recipes below in small-batch conversions so you can whip yourself up a nice breakfast or batch of spaghetti with just a pound of ground pork and what's in your spice cabinet already!
Enjoy, my friends!
